Liquid staking (LST) vs native staking: what’s the difference?
With an LST (JitoSOL, mSOL, JupSOL…), you swap your SOL for a token that gains value every epoch and can be sold anytime. With native staking, you delegate your SOL to a validator: you stay the sole owner, but you must deactivate the stake and wait for the epoch to end to get your SOL back.
What is the minimum to stake SOL?
There’s no real minimum, but most swap platforms need about 0.1 SOL for an LST. For native staking, add about 0.0023 SOL of deposit for the stake account (returned when you withdraw).
Is staking SOL risky?
The main risks: an LST protocol bug, a validator penalty, or a price gap (depeg) when you sell. Soltovo gives each LST a risk score out of 10. Your SOL never go through the app: you sign everything in your wallet.
How do I stake SOL with Soltovo?
Pick an LST or a validator in the comparison, enter the amount, then approve in your wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack…). The swap goes through Jupiter and the transaction is sent straight to Solana.
